One of the issues exemplified is the way people always resort to the use of presumed knowledge or situation, which does not necessarily come to everyone alike. For example, telling somebody to “spread it around” presumes you mean the peanut butter, not bread itself, but should be read literally, that action can yield side-splitting and erroneous results. David Hurlbut Discussion Post
I chose the David Hurlbut podcast because electrical engineering is most related to my major and aligns with my career aspirations in computer engineering. Since computer engineering combines electrical engineering and computer science, his work seemed the most relevant to me. I was most curious about how much of his time is spent writing reports and operational procedures versus just receiving them.
